Our Mission Statement

Wear Valley Women's Aid aims to provide emergency accomodation, support and advice to women and children who have been subjected to domestic abuse.

Wear Valley Women's Aid aims to increase awareness of dmoestic abuse and ultimately works towards eradicating all violence and discrimination against women and children.

About Us

Wear Valley Women’s Aid is a support service for women and children who have been subjected to domestic abuse the organisation encompasses Advice and Guidance, Outreach support and Refuge-based services. Women can choose to access one or all of these services.

A women’s refuge is not hiding place, nor is a place which women ‘run away to’. It is a supportive environment and an alternative to living with abuse. Find out more about the services at WVWA
